Hello, I have a issue with this package nothing very serious but a little annoying.

The systray icon under xfce does not display 80% of the time but sometimes it works like magic.

When I manually launch "synology-cloud-station-drive start" it displays this message:

    lib path = "/opt/Synology/CloudStation/lib/plugins

    "sni-qt/2960" WARN 10:44:44:44.836 void StatusNotifierItemFactory::connectToSnw() Invalid interface to SNW_SERVICE

Cloud drive is well launched just the systray icon that doesn’t work, do you have an idea of the problem ?

4437 is out by the way

@ jee: nowhere but you can replace sha512sums with md5sums in PKGBUILD

    jee commented on 2019-04-05 09:04

    Thank you biloucat

Just an question for my knowledge 🙂 Where did find the sha512sum value on the Synology’s website i only find a md5 ?

I’m on Manjaro Gnome. I have nautilus 3.30.2-1 and encounter the same problem with nautilus-legacy (close to 3.15.**)

Having cloud-station-drive installed seem to make nautilus crash randomly or become unresponsive. I have that error when launching from nautilus from terminal: nautilus failed to register: timeout was reached

    phoerious commented on 2018-07-18 07:37

Sure. Just hoped that someone else had the same problem and could perhaps help me. I got it working now after reinstalling the server component.

    FFY00 commented on 2018-07-17 22:15

phoerious, you need to report that to Synology. This is a closed source application, the PKGBUILD only installs the binaries. I don’t have access to the source code to try to fix the error, even if I had, that’s not really my job, unless it’s an arch specific bug (but I would probably do it anyway 🙂 ). I am really sorry but I can’t help with that.

    phoerious commented on 2018-07-17 20:11

I cannot get it to work here. I enter login data, then it asks me for my 2FA OTP, then it hangs, and then it fails with "Connection failed. Please check your network settings and try again".

    The log file only says:

[ERROR] ../libui/protocol-ui.cpp(467): ProDSGetListViewBySession: stream error while receiving response.

I tested both my publicly routeable IPv6 as well as my local IPv4 address, firewall’s all open etc. It works from my Windows laptop, but not from my Arch box. Cloud Station Backup runs just fine, but Drive doesn’t. Username and password are also correct and when I deliberately enter the wrong credentials, I instantly get an error response. I also see a new client entry on the server, but it’s marked as offline. Any ideas as to why this doesn’t work?

Drive Client (synology-drive, maintainer fmartingr) :

Drive for PC, the desktop utility of the DSM add-on package, Drive, allows you to sync and share files owned by you or shared by others between a centralized Synology NAS and multiple client computers. It is package «synology-drive» (maintainer fmartingr), which version is 10240 Only the most recent NAS synology can run it. For instance, DS212+ CANNOT run synology-drive.

Cloud Station Drive (synology-cloud-station-drive, maintainer zoe) :

Cloud Station Drive is an application designed to synchronize files between your Synology NAS and PCs via the Internet, ensuring that your data is always up-to-date and enabling you to easily access your files. Even when the Internet connection is not available, you can still view and edit your files offline, and all the changes made will be automatically synced to your Synology NAS and PCs once the Internet connection is restored.

This package is suitable for older NAS (for instance DS212+)

But both can be ran by the recent NAS (for instance DS718+).
